Nepal’s acclaimed folk-classical group, Sukarma, has returned after a two-week long musical tour of Switzerland on Tuesday.

Sukarma had been invited by the Swiss Nepalese Association and enthralled audiences in various cities of Switzerland including Morlon, La Roche, Geneva and Zurich among others.

One of the Nepal’s more well-known folk and classical bands, Sukarma, returned home after performing musical shows around Switzerland. The two-week-long musical tour took place between August 8-26, 2014. During their concerts, the three musicians of the band, Dr Dhrubesh Chandra Regmi, Pramod Upadhyaya and Nagendra Rai, attracted huge audiences who had come to take in Eastern classical music, Nepali folk, Western jazz and the blues. The band has been performing at major cities in Switzerland since 2002.

ensemble Sukarma is all about. The harmony of sitar, sarangi along with tabala beats create a
surreal atmosphere. On June 28, the same was presented at the Theatre Village, Lazimpat.
Sukarma and friends struck the right note at the musical soiree „Ritu Shrawan‟.
