Shekhar Kharel (Quick Silver Promotion & Consultancy), an MA in English literature from Tribhuvan University, Nepal and master’s degree holder in Literature and Criticism from Greenwich University in the United Kingdom, is a noted filmmaker, writer, journalist, critic and photographer. With his debut documentary Kathmandu Odyssey showcased in the Film South Asia in 2003 held in Kathmandu, Nepal, Kharel has hitherto directed over two dozens of documentaries on various subjects and issues, ranging from women/gender,law/justice/human rights to tourism, health, education, conflict mitigation, art and literature, to his credit. He was associated with BBC Nepali Service, London, Nepal Tourism Board and The Kathmandu Post prior to joining Quick Silver.
